Review: Natural Born Loser

Kid review of Natural Born Loser by Oliver Phommavanh | bookboy.com.auThis book review is brought to you by my brother Book Boy Jr (11).

Title: Natural Born Leader Loser

Author: Oliver Phommavanh

Publisher: Penguin Random House Australia

About the book: This book is about a kid named Raymond, a natural born follower, who is selected as a prefect in a crazy school. The story follows him and the other prefects as they work towards their goal of new air-conditioners for the school.

What I thought: This book is one of the best I have read in a while, and is a quick and easy read. Although the book has no pictures, it creates a good scene in your head. It’s funny in a goofy, cartoony kind of way, and is always easy to pick up and hard to put down.

I recommend this book for anyone 8+, although there are a lot of words for kids who might be used to pictures along the way. They should persist though.
