Big news: I’m joining the #LoveOzYA committee
I’m really excited to share the news that I’ve joined the #LoveOzYA committee as its first teen member.
#LoveOzYA is a movement aimed at promoting YA fiction by Australian authors to Australian readers. You can find out more about #LoveOzYA here.
The committee is a group of volunteers who do their best to help spread the word about great Aussie YA books through a range of different activities, and I’m looking forward to being part of it!
I’ve already reviewed a number of #LoveOzYA books here on the blog (see below) and you’ll be seeing more in the mix over the next year or so, as well as sneak peeks of what I’m reading over on Instagram, Twitter and, occasionally, Facebook (FB is mostly music, so if you’d like to keep up with that, come and say hello over there).
In the meantime, here are my current #LoveOzYA reviews to check out.
Everything Is Changed by Nova Weetman
Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Every Breath by Ellie Marney
Bro by Helen Chebatte
The Yearbook Committee by Sarah Ayoub
Do you have a favourite #LoveOzYA novel? Please share it in the comments.
Congratulations on your appointment! I have no doubt that you will provide some wonderful insight and are a great addition to the committee.
Thank you! I’ll do my best!
