The majority of the books on this list are books that I have re-read.
This month I was quite busy, as I was involved in a production of the musical ‘Wicked’.
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
Simon is a relatively normal sixteen year old with a relatively normal life – that is until someone discovers his secret. Simon navigates sexuality, love, and friendship in this warm, funny book.
The Yearbook Committee by Sarah Ayoub
Five very different teenagers are forced into working together on the yearbook in this fantastic young adult book. I particularly like the changing perspectives of the novel, as it presents varied views on the plot and the characters themselves.
I last read this book when I was 13, and you can see my full review of it here.
The Bazaar of Bad Dreams by Stephen King
A collection of dark, sometimes twisted, stories from the master of horror, Stephen King. My favourite of the stories was ‘Mile 81′, which was originally released as an ebook in 2011.
