‘Time I Love To Waste’ showcases MAY-A’s songwriting at its best
It’s been a little under a month since indie pop artist MAY-A released her latest single, ‘Time I Love To Waste’.
The track has earned glowing praise from the likes of Triple-J, where the song is currently ranked number one on the ‘most played’ list, sharing the podium with the likes of Tash Sultana and Maggie Lindemann.
MAY-A told the station she’s “not very good at expressing emotions,” though that is by no means evident in ‘Time I Love To Waste’.
The song is full of catchy but poignant observations of love and longing, set to a groovy bassline and featuring shimmering electric guitar. It’s the kind of song you want to blast with the windows down on a late night drive, wind in your hair, stars in your eyes.
Although she is just a handful of singles into her career, MAY-A has already demonstrated her ability to captivate an audience and write an honest, unforgettable track.
MAY-A will be taking her new single on the road in March. You can find tickets to the ‘No Place Like Home’ tour here
